Hot Air Balloon Cairns

If you’ve always dreamed of drifting high over the rainforests, mountains and tranquil country landscapes of the Atherton Tablelands, head to Hot Air Balloon Cairns for a once-in-a-lifetime aerial experience.

The Great Barrier Reef

Called Australia's "Blue Outback," this stunning collection of nearly 10,000 coral reefs is a sanctuary for thousands of species of marine creatures, turtles and birds. In addition to scuba diving and snorkelling, this majestic aquatic wonderland can be explored via pontoon boat tours, sea plane and helicopter rides, semi-submersible submarines and glass bottom boats.

Green Island

Located in the Great Barrier Reef, Green Island is a stunning coral cay, featuring white sand beaches, island rainforest landscapes and waters teeming with abundant sea life. Book a full- or half-day tour to snorkel the reef or disappear deep into the rainforest.

Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures

Find yourself face to face with crocodiles, tropical birds, reptiles, insects, snakes, cassowaries, koalas, crocodiles, quolls and other native fauna at this wildlife park just 40 minutes north of Cairns.

Millaa Millaa Falls

Surrounded by lush rainforests, these magnificent falls cascade into a sparkling pool below, where visitors can swim in the cool water. The landscape around the falls features hiking trails and picnic areas.

Paronella Park

Located next to Mena Creek Falls, this heritage-listed, 5-hectare rainforest park features 7,500 tropical plants and trees, a majestic Spanish-style castle, a picnic area by the falls, tennis courts, bridges and a tunnel.

Daintree Rainforest and Daintree River

One of the most diverse and beautiful landscapes in the world, the Daintree Rainforest and River make up the largest expanse of protected tropical rainforest in Australia. Throughout its 1,200 square kilometres, visitors will find pristine tropical jungles, golden beaches featuring gentle tides, breathtaking hiking trails and thousands of species of birds, marine animals and other jungle wildlife.

Undara Lava Lodge

Ever wonder what it’s like to walk in the footsteps of an ancient volcano? Located in the Gulf Savannah country, the Undara Lava Lodge was formed over 190,000 years ago by a massive volcanic eruption that sent molten lava flowing down a dry river bed. Over time, the lava layers cooled and crusted, which resulted in a network of dark, hollow tubes carved into the landscape.

Kuranda Village

Nestled in a World Heritage Rainforest just 25km from Cairns, this scenic mountain sanctuary features river cruises, cable car gondola rides, heritage markets, a historic railway tour and the Australia Venom Zoo, which is home to five of Australia’s deadliest snakes. Along the way, you’ll get up close and personal with koalas, butterflies, native and exotic birds, kangaroos, reptiles and an enormous life-size replica of an Allosaurus Dinosaur.

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway

Located in Kuranda Village, Skyrail sweeps you away on an exhilarating trek through Australia’s World Heritage-listed Tropical Rainforest canopy. The six-person gondola cabins offer breathtaking views of the rainforest, tropical Cairns, the Coral Sea and the lush Cairns Highlands.
